Soak sesame in water for 15 mins, drain and set aside.
Sift cake flour, baking powder and baking soda into a big bowl.
In another bowl, beat egg and mix well with sugar until dissolved.
Add cooking oil into the egg mix, whisk well.
Gradually add water into the egg batter.
Create a space in the middle of the powdery ingredients, add the egg batter in, slowly knead into a soft dough.
You can add in a little bit of water if the dough gets too try as to you knead it.
If the dough gets too sticky, then you can add in a little bit of flour.
Rest the dough for 30 mins.
Roll and cut the dough into like a thumb size, the piece should be cut into similar sizes so the cooking time is consistent.
Roll it into a ball using the centre part of your palms.
Dip each ball into the sesame ball, roll again using the centre part of your palms, so the sesame sticks on to the ball better.
Heat up oil to 150°C.
Deep fry in low heat for 10 mins, stir them often to make sure they are cooked evenly.
Turn to high heat for 1 min.
